2025 Women Who Podcast Awards (First of Its Kind) Now Accepting Entries!

Independent, women-identified podcasters worldwide stand a chance to win big. The first-ever Women Who Podcast Awards is now officially open and ready to receive submissions.

Founded to spotlight women's creative power, influence, and innovation in podcasting, the Women Who Podcast Awards champions inclusivity, originality, and excellence in podcasting worldwide.

“This event is more than an awards program,” said Kathy Barron, Founder of Women Who Podcast Media and Editor-in-Chief of Women Who Podcast magazine. “It’s a celebration of voices that are often underrepresented in the podcast community. We aim to amplify the incredible work being done by women in podcasting and build a supportive space for recognition and growth.”

The awards come at a time when Podcast Consumption among women has experienced explosive growth in the last ten years. The number of women who listen to podcasts each month has tripled during the past decade, growing from 15% in 2015 to 45% in 2025, according to the Women’s Audio Report: Women & Podcasts released by Edison Research and SiriusXM Media.

“Female monthly podcast listenership has tripled in ten years – that’s worth repeating,” said Melissa Paris, Vice President of Sales Research at SiriusXM Media.

U.S. women and mom podcasters who consume monthly podcasts now average over 1 hour and 40 minutes of podcast content daily. North America remains the epicenter of podcasting, with more than 143.3 million people in the region tuning in monthly to podcasts.

Registration of the Women Who Podcast Awards officially kicked off on May 1, 2025, and submissions will be accepted through June 30, 2025.
